MUSIC AS A CROSS CURRICULAR TOOL.
Training for Primary Teachers.
Can you remember any advert jingles and songs from when you were a child?
The answer will undoubtedly be yes. Why? Because music is amazing for memory! Proved by countless individuals with Alzheimer’s who can remember entire songs!
Ollie believes it is one of the most powerful tools to make learning more memorable.
Ollie was a child that struggled with tests and exams all his life. He therefore used raps, rhythms and rhymes to help him achieve a First in nearly all his final exams. Sharing what he had learnt then allowed him to help hundreds of thousands of pupils as they too have benefitted from his techniques.
I know what you’re thinking.
‘I’m not musical, I have no rhythm, I’m tone deaf! These techniques will only be useful to Music Teachers!”
Well, that’s simply not true. These techniques are designed to be used by all Teachers as an easy extra cross curricular tool for Key Stages 1 and 2.
In this training, staff will be equipped with ‘Music for Memory’ techniques to help with:
Mental Maths & Times Tables
Reading for Pleasure
Creative Writing
Talk for Writing
Song writing for Topics
Building confidence, concentration, collaboration and creativity.
Growth Mindset - Learning ‘Qualities pupils need to succeed.’
Calming your Classroom
& Memorising Quotes.
If there are any other cross curricular areas your school would like support with, then Ollie can tailor the training to your aims and objectives.
